As photographers, we enjoy good training courses. They give us a chance to enhance our skills, learn new things to become better photographers. So I decided to expand my wedding photography skills, adding more creative shots to the mix.
For the SWPP wedding training course I went up to Pincents Manor, a charming venue dating back to circa the 14th century, that’s just ideal for weddings. Located in Reading, Berkshire, close to the M4, you wouldn’t know it once you’re there. Car parking is free, and ample for most requirements.
The course was ably run by Lisa Beaney, and I picked up a fair few useful tips from it. The course began with some tuition about different ways of lighting the face, and we headed outside to practice on each other. After some further tuition on lighting, and low light photography, we worked with our model for the day, Loretta Hope, in a variety of locations inside.
Included here are some of the photographs I took on the day. They show a style of photography I will be incorporating into my wedding coverage. Enjoy 🙂
