Hertfordshire Wedding Photographers Alex Saville Photography have listed a few tips for couples booking a Hertfordshire florist for their wedding. What would your tips be for brides and grooms sorting out the flowers for their wedding day? Have you had some particularly good service you’d like to mention?
Do the Hertfordshire florists deliver the flowers to everywhere they need to be, when they need to be? Make sure you’re both clear on this 100% – it’s no good if you expect the flowers at the reception and they’re still at the ceremony.
Is it clear what their costs cover? Is it clear what costs they don’t cover? Your contract should cover this.
The flowers will wilt somewhat during the day – it’s not like they’re going to have a bowl of water to sit it! So you need them as fresh as can be.
Does the hertfordshire florist return their phone calls promptly – and do they provide you with valid contact details for on the day? It may seem like common sense, but heaven forbid there’s a problem on the day, and the flowers don’t show up when they’re supposed to, having a phone number you can call that’s going to get answered means alot.
Do they provide you with a contract to sign before they take your money? Read it carefully. Don’t take anything for granted. It doesn’t mean they’re trying to pull a fast one on you – but be aware of what happens if something goes wrong. A contract should show you what you can expect from each other. A formal document is a sign of professionalism, but if the worst comes to the worst, at least make sure that it’s in email.
Do they give you an invoice? Invoices are further documentary evidence of the service they’re providing.
